Waste not

Brett Nutting has been collecting softwood and making furniture for over 20 years. Much of the timber has been rescued from demolition projects or had a past life as joinery, lining boards, shelves or planks. Brett lets nothing go to waste, making something useful from small finds of high-quality timber that would otherwise end up in landfill.

AdHoc Furniture is light and functional, celebrating the origins and character of the raw material. Using salvaged materials doesn’t lend itself to making commissions, but Brett does make hall tables and dining tables to order.

In 2008 Brett set up a workshop and shopfront in the main street of Kandos in the NSW Central West.
